Author Tom Steward has been in the mental health field for nearly thirty years, but it was not until his son was diagnosed with a psychotic illness that he and his family were dealt one of life’s biggest blows. This is an account of the progress of treatment, conventional and alternative, but most importantly how, through faith and prayer, a home could be filled with the most curative power: love. The journey is long and arduous and there are many weak moments when there is the impulse to give up, but something carries this family through the ordeal of their lives and we see them emerge on the other side in a way that provide us all with hope.
